When you want to create necklaces or bracelets quickly and efficiently, S-Lon Fire is up to the task. This is a micro fused, braided bead thread consisting of a gel-spun polyethylene, which is known as the strongest fiber, per diameter, ever created. It has an unbelievably high tensile strength and has been recommended for various bead weaving and jewelry making projects. S-lon Fire comes in 4 sizes: 4lb. test with a .005”/.12mm diameter, 6lb. test with a .006”/.15mm diameter, 8lb. test with a .007”/.17mm diameter and 10lb. test with a .008”/.20mm diameter. The spools come in both clear and black and are available in 3 lengths: 15, 50 and 125 yards/13.7, 45.7 and 114.3 meters. For stringing and weaving we suggest English beading needles. Use a #12 for 2-6lb. test and a #10 for larger diameters.
