With absolute beginner braiders in mind, I've put together a basic kumihimo starter kit for you. This is much more economical than if you purchased items separately.
Designed to teach the basics of braiding with rattail cord. Learning the braiding movements with fiber is essential prior to braiding with beads.

Beadsmith 6 inch Kumihimo Foam Disk with a 35mm center hole.
Braiding Instructions
8 EEZ-Bobs No Tangle WEIGHTED Bobbins - these hold the tension better than bobbins with no weight
45 gram Kumi Gator Weight
3 yards of color mix Rattail cord. This is enough to make an 18" braid.
1 colorful tote (colors will vary), to store and carry your kumihimo project
